OUR STORY
Katrina and Johnnie believe dogs are important members of their family. They began caring for other family's fur babies since they both love the company of dogs and weren't quite ready to add to their family again after their fur baby passed in January 2024 from canine lymphoma.
Katrina grew up with dogs in her Midwestern family home and has always had her own dogs as part of her family. She has over 35 years of experience caring for and training dogs from the time they were a puppy (potty training, crate training, socializing, basic commands) to their elderly years (special diets, medicine and loving patience). Johnnie enjoys playing and exercising with dogs and showering them with love. He believes they are the best companions and treats them with compassionate care.
Katrina works for a tech company from home and has an outdoor office in the backyard where she enjoys working as weather allows. Johnnie works second shift outside of the home. This means at least one of us will likely be home most of the time, so your fur baby will never be left alone for more than a few hours, if at all.

WELCOME TO OUR DOG FRIENDLY HOME
When Katrina moved out to San Diego she purposefully purchased and remodeled her home keeping her fur babies in mind. This means the house is purposefully set-up for your dog's comfort and interests.

What we do will be tailored to their level of training and what they enjoy doing. Generally, fur babies who visit our home enjoy the sounds and sights of the hummingbirds and parrots who visit the backyard in the mornings. They enjoy fetch and zoomies to release their energy, as well as sunning themselves in the backyard while butterflies tickle the air flying by.
Lounging under the gazebo in the upper yard to watch over their new domain and enjoy the food smells of what our neighbors are cooking up leaves them feeling fancy. The covered patio is also a favorite spot for fur babies to enjoy the cool feel of the pavers or hang out on the comfy love seat while I work during the day.
Inside our home, they will enjoy digging through the toy boxes to find their treasure or favorite toy to chew, play fetch or tug with. They will enjoy lounging on the comfy couch, carpet or cool tile in the den. Finally, we will go for walks along the neighborhood trail to say hi to the neighbors and get some exercise.
